The Colombian Football Federation (FCF) announced on Thursday that the men's national team will play three international friendly matches in the United States during the next FIFA window. The first match will be against Mexico on September 26 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. The second, on October 2, will be against Paraguay at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey. The final, on October 6, will face Peru at the new Inter Miami stadium.
Recent history against each opponent
In the last encounter with Mexico, Colombia won 4‑0 on October 11, 2025 in Arlington, Texas, during an international tour. The match against Paraguay on March 25, 2025 ended 2‑2 at Estadio Metropolitano de Barranquilla. In the match against Peru on June 6, 2025, both teams drew 0‑0 in Barranquilla during the World Cup qualifiers.
Coach’s contract and recent achievements
In July, the FCF renewed the contract of Argentine head coach Néstor Lorenzo, who is 60 years old and has been in charge since 2022. Under his leadership, Colombia qualified for the 2026 World Cup and won the runner‑up spot at the 2024 Copa América.
